The space saver version of the SRO 8″ skimmer features the pump mounted inside the skimmer body. This is a great way to get more bang for the buck out of your skimmer. The way this is accomplished is since the pump is inside the skimmer body, the body of the skimmer itself can be wider and still not have the same overall footprint of the other 8″ SRO skimmer. The footprint of 12.5″ X 11″ X 25″ is only 1 inch wider than the other 8″ skimmer, but this one has a rating for tanks up to 300 gallons! Of course, this skimmer is powered by a Bubble Blaster pump.

SRO-5000SSS – Super Reef Octopus 10″ In Sump Space Saver Skimmer

The space saver version of the SRO 10″ protein skimmer is rated for tanks of up to 400 gallons. This skimmer has a footprint of 13″ x 11″ x 25″, and of course comes equipped with a Bubble Blaster pump that is mounted inside the skimmer body. All the other features found on SRO space saver skimmers are standard on this one too.
